Privacy Policy
MapShot ("we", "us") is an Australian Google Business Profile management service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect: contact details you give us (name, email, phone); business details (business name, location, industry, Google Business Profile information); audit information (publicly available details about your listing); service content you send us to publish (such as job photos); and basic website analytics.
How we use it: to prepare your free audit, deliver the monthly service, send reports and invoices, and contact you about our services where permitted by law. We never sell your personal information.
Marketing emails: every email identifies MapShot and includes a working opt-out, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Opt out and we stop.
Sharing: only the providers we need to operate — hosting, email, payment processing, and Google (when managing your profile on your behalf). These may store data overseas. Nothing else, unless required by law.
Storage, access & correction: your information is stored in reputable cloud services with access controls, kept only as long as needed. Ask us anytime what we hold, or to correct or delete it: hello@mapshot.au.
Cookies: the site may use basic cookies/analytics; disable them in your browser anytime.
Complaints: contact us first and we'll do our best to fix it. Otherwise, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au.
Terms of Service
The service: ongoing Google Business Profile management — profile optimisation, regular posts, photo uploads, review responses and growth, spam reporting, and monthly performance reporting, at our professional discretion, directed at improving your local search visibility.
Pricing: $400/month plus GST, billed monthly in advance. No lock-in, no setup fee. Cancel anytime with written notice; service ends at the close of the current billing period. Payments made are non-refundable, as work is performed throughout each month. Once-off services (such as profile setup, citation work, or landing pages) are quoted at fixed prices plus GST, payable before work begins, and non-refundable once work has started.
What we need from you: Manager access to your Google Business Profile, accurate business information, content/photos when requested, and confirmation you have the right to use any content you send.
Results: Google's rankings are controlled by Google and influenced by factors outside anyone's control. We do not and cannot guarantee any specific ranking, position, or volume of calls — anyone who guarantees #1 is lying to you. We guarantee consistent weekly work, transparent monthly reporting, and your freedom to cancel anytime.
Standards: we act only within Google's published guidelines — no fake reviews, no misleading content. We may decline unlawful or policy-violating content.
Liability: to the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), our total liability is limited to amounts paid in the three months before a claim. We are not liable for Google's actions, including algorithm changes or suspensions not caused by our breach.
IP: you own your content; we own our processes and templates. You permit us to reference your business and results in our marketing unless you ask otherwise.
Ending & general: either party may end with written notice effective end of the billing period; your profile remains yours. Governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. We may update these terms; continuing the service means acceptance. Contact: hello@mapshot.au.
